Most audiophiles (including us) agree that nothing sounds as good as a recording made on analog tape. The combination of warmth and clarity that can be achieved in the analog domain has yet to be equaled. At Atlasta Studio we feature a Tascam MSR-24 analog deck. This 24-track analog recorder is unique as it achieves the pristine sound quality of a 2" analog deck while using a far more economical 1" tape format. Another great feature of our analog deck is its ability to synchronize with our digital decks. This allows for recordings that exceed 24 tracks, and also allows for automated mixdown of analog material.

Of course here at Atlasta studio we haven’t ignored the digital revolution. There are many occasions where it just makes more sense to record digitally because of the nature of the material. We feature 24 tracks of Tascam DA-88 and DA-38 digital tape recording capability. We strongly believe the Tascam format provides both superior sound and smoother operational capabilities when compared to the other leading tape format.

Finally, to provide the absolute maximum in modern recording capability, we have the Tascam MX-2424 Hard Disk Recorder. This unit can simultaneously record on 24 tracks with 24-bit resolution at a wide variety of sampling rates, plus provides almost unlimited numbers of "virtual tracks". Of course all the digital editing functions are available for use via MX-View Software. This unit is also compatible with virtually every major DAW format including Pro-Tools.
